Our Independence Day is coming, and this small town I live in starts celebrating today - and will wave flags, and spend time with friends, and enjoy the sunshine, and be glad we live here until the last firework lights the sky on Tuesday. In between, there will be music, and a parade, and certain quantities of beer and hot dogs. I am utterly grateful to live in this town, in this state, in this country.
